I think I’ve lost my crojo…. this bunny is all I’ve mustered to crochet in the last week and a half. I’ve been really busy, though… my daughter had a birthday of which we had two parties, one one day for her friends and another the next day with just family. My next time stealer has been all the home and yard work that comes with this beautiful, hot weather. Sadly, we are waiting on a rototiller so my garden is still a weedy mess. All my plant starts are bursting out of their little black containers. If all goes well, though, I’m hoping to have a garden by this weekend! In the meantime, I’m going to try and make it my mission to work on this blanket! I have two pine trees left and four appliques to make…. maybe more, because I’m a perfectionist and can’t help but want to redo/replace some appliques I’ve already made. 🙂
Here’s my latest applique… a bunny’s butt, er, bum! Let me know how you like him!

Rnd 1: With 3 yards Sequoya – Ch 8, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, sc, hdc 4, dc 3 in last. Continue around and hdc 4, sl st 2 (you should be at the tip now), ch 3, sk 3 ch and sl st into same, sl st. (17) Fasten off and weave in ends of one of the ears, leave long tail on one of them.
Use long tail to attach ears to body and, when it’s time, to attach to granny square. You can, however, not sew ears down on granny square for a kind of 3D effect.
Row 1: With 2 yards Sequoya – Ch 7, dc in 2nd, hdc 3, sc 2, ch 1, turn (6)
Row 2: Sl st, sl st, hdc, sc2tog. (4) Fasten off, leave long tails.
Use long tail(s) to attach feet to body. Use small amount of Grand Canyon yarn to sew lines on for ‘toe definition’.
Use angel hair and, stitching onto the body in a circular fashion, create a round, fluffy tail.
