WIP Wednesday – 11 April 2018

Hello all, I hope your Wednesday is going well 🙂  I haven’t been posting much for a while other than my Fairy Tree Afghan CAL (how are you coming along on that, by the way??). But believe me, I have been busy on several blankets…. one of which is this one. Recognize any of the appliques? It’s a small (40″ x 32″) version of my queen size Woodland Afghan. I’m not sure I’m done with the border yet…. leave it or do a little more? I debated doing the plaid as on my big one but I think for this small size it would distract from the appliques.

Speaking of the appliques, I used an H-hook this time instead of my regular G-hook because I made these squares 8″ x 8″ and wanted a bigger applique to fit. They turned out well! I also changed up my Moose applique a little bit, adding a nose and eyes.

In addition to that blanket, I thought I would try something different and new (for me!) and I made this granny square baby blanket and used my Fox applique in one of the corners.

I am, currently, working on another new-to-me type of blanket…. the c2c blanket. I watched an AWESOME YouTube video on how to do it and I’m amazed at how easy it is and how fast it grows! I don’t have any pictures right now but I’ll be sure to share my progress on that in my next post!

Have a great day and thanks for reading!

  1. This is adorable! I finally got yarn for my fairy tree blanket, but I was in the middle of another CAL so I still haven’t started…the other one is almost complete though, so soon I hope!

  2. I love the Foxy Granny Blanket!!! Tooooo cute! I think the plaid border would also look terrific on the small Woodland blanket …. it’s pretty adorable as well! I’m just getting started today on making a queen size one using several of your Applique designs! Any chance you can come up with a flamingo design applique???? Pretty please???? To go along with the vintage camper!
