Hello all, I hope your Wednesday is going well 🙂 I haven’t been posting much for a while other than my Fairy Tree Afghan CAL (how are you coming along on that, by the way??). But believe me, I have been busy on several blankets…. one of which is this one. Recognize any of the appliques? It’s a small (40″ x 32″) version of my queen size Woodland Afghan. I’m not sure I’m done with the border yet…. leave it or do a little more? I debated doing the plaid as on my big one but I think for this small size it would distract from the appliques.
Speaking of the appliques, I used an H-hook this time instead of my regular G-hook because I made these squares 8″ x 8″ and wanted a bigger applique to fit. They turned out well! I also changed up my Moose applique a little bit, adding a nose and eyes.
Here is the back of my blanket… I surface stitch all of my appliques so they aren’t visible from the back.
In addition to that blanket, I thought I would try something different and new (for me!) and I made this granny square baby blanket and used my Fox applique in one of the corners.
I am, currently, working on another new-to-me type of blanket…. the c2c blanket. I watched an AWESOME YouTube video on how to do it and I’m amazed at how easy it is and how fast it grows! I don’t have any pictures right now but I’ll be sure to share my progress on that in my next post!
Have a great day and thanks for reading!
